A: If your pet is declining or you’re struggling with difficult decisions, a we can support you early on—well before the final moments.

A: Yes. While we do not make medical diagnoses, we can help you reflect, assess quality of life, and navigate the emotional side of this decision.

Q: Can you make arrangements for my pet’s euthanasia?
A: Yes. We know how hard it is to make that call. We can coordinate with your personal vet or schedule a compassionate at-home euthanasia with veterinarians that provide that service.

Q: Can you be present during the euthanasia process?
A: Absolutely. We can simply be present to offer emotional support and guide you through the process or take on a more active role on your behalf If you would like to focus solely on spending time with your pet, we can act on your behalf by handling any communication with staff, paperwork, payment, and aftercare decisions for you.

Q: If I am not able to be present for the euthanasia process, can you be there in my place?
A. Yes, we can. Some owners feel as though they cannot be present during the process but do not want their pet to be alone. We agree and will be there to hold their paw until they pass the rainbow bridge.

Q: Do you offer support for other pets in the home?
A: We do. Pets grieve too, and we offer gentle support and guidance to help them adjust.

Pet Loss & Grief Support

Q: Are you licensed? Can you also treat others conditions not related to my pet if needed?
A: Yes. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker working under the supervision of Mikayla Jacob, LCSW-S. As a Mental Health Therapist, I can treat a variety of conditions that people often experience.

Q: What does a pet loss grief session include?
A: Each session is a safe, compassionate space to share your story, express your grief, and begin healing—at your own pace. We use a mix of conversation, creative expression, and guided reflection.

Q: Do you offer in-person or virtual grief support?
A: Both are available. We offer sessions in-person or virtually for comfort and convenience.

Q: How many sessions do you recommend?
A: That depends on your needs. Often times we are grieving more than the passing of our pet but also what our pets represent to us and the role they play in our lives. We’ll discuss what feels right for you and your situation.

Q: What if I’m not sure I’m ready to talk yet?
A: That’s okay. Grief has no timeline. Reach out when you feel ready—we will be here to walk alongside you whenever that is.

“When we knew it was time to say goodbye to our sweet Bella, we were overwhelmed with fear and sadness. Having Whisker Watchers by Angela as our pet doula changed everything. They helped us create a peaceful, loving space for Bella’s final moments—full of warmth, music, and the smells she loved. We were guided with such tenderness and respect, and I truly believe Bella felt held every step of the way. I can’t imagine going through it without that support. It was heartbreakingly beautiful, and somehow, healing too.” — Melissa G., Bella’s mom
